  The main parameters affecting cast steel grit processing include abrasive type, abrasive particle size, grinding fluid concentration, spraying distance, spraying angle, spraying time, compressed air pressure, etc.

  The common cast steel grit process parameters are used to obtain the three elements of surface results: the acceleration effect of compressed air on jet flow (adjustment of sandblasting pressure) P, abrasive type (s), distance (H) and angle (θ) of spray gun.

  1. Influence of pressure adjustment on surface results

  When s, h and θ are set, the higher the p value is, the higher the jet velocity is, the higher the cast steel grit efficiency is, and the rougher the surface of the workpiece is. On the contrary, the surface is relatively smooth.

  2. Influence of distance and angle of spray gun on surface result

  After setting the P and s values, this is the key of manual cast steel grit technology. The distance between the spray gun and the workpiece is generally 50-150 mm. The farther the spray gun is from the workpiece, the lower the efficiency of the jet flow and the smoother the surface of the workpiece. The smaller the angle between the spray gun and the workpiece, the lower the efficiency of the jet flow and the smoother the surface of the workpiece.

  3. The influence of abrasive type on surface results the abrasive can be divided into spherical and rhombic according to the particle state. Diamond abrasive is usually used in gritblasting. Glass beads are spherical abrasives.

  When p, h and θ are set, the surface obtained by spherical cast steel grit blasting is smoother, while that of diamond abrasive is relatively rough, and the same kind of abrasive can be divided into coarse and fine. According to the number of screens in China, the coarseness of abrasives is generally called the number. The higher the number, the smaller the particle size The higher the gritblasting number of the same abrasive, the smoother the surface result is.
